Description:

An evergreen tree up to 50ft/15m high. Mature trees have long, narrow, yellowish leaves, creamy white flowers and a smooth, pale gray bark often covered in white powder.

Actions:

Analgesic, antineuralgic, antiseptic, antiviral, cicatrizant, decongestant, deodorant, depurative, diuretic, expectorant, febrifuge, hypoglycemic, parasiticide, prophylactic, rubefacient, stimulant, vermifuge, vulnerary, insecticide.

Extraction:

The oil is extracted by steam distillation from the leaves and young twigs

Characteristics:

A colourless, mobile liquid that yellows on aging, with a somewhat harsh, camphoraceous odour and a woody-sweet undertone. It blends well with thyme, rosemary, lavender, marjoram, pine, cedarwood and lemon
