Citrus Aurantium

Description:

The oil of orange petitgrain is produced from the leaves and twigs of the same tree that produces both bitter orange oil and neroli oil.

Actions:

Antiseptic, antispasmodic, deodorant, digestive, nervine, stimulant (to both digestive and nervous systems), stomachic, tonic

Extraction:

The oils is extracted by steam distillation from the leaves and twigs

Characteristics:

A pale yellow to amber liquid, with a fresh-floral citrus scent and a woody herbaceous undertone. It blends well with rosemary, lavender, geranium, bergamot, orange, neroli, clary sage, jasmine, benzoin, palmarosa, and clove and is a classic ingredient in eau-de-cologne and toilet waters
