Sage (Spanish)

Salvia Lavandulifolia

Description:

An aromatic, evergreen shrub, similar to the garden sage, but with narrower leaves and small purple flowers. The oil is mainly produced in Spain.

Extraction:

The oil is extracted by steam distillation from the leaves.

Characteristics:

A pale yellow, mobile liquid with a fresh-herbaceous, camphoraceous, slightly pine like odour. It blends well with rosemary, lavender, pine, eucalyptus, juniper, clary sage and cedarwood.
